  1. This tool does a great job at what it is was intended for and great at what it was not intended for like cutting bolts, nails, steel wire, etc. I know that Klein make a blue handled model for cutting screws, nails, etc., but this one works just fine. I have tried several brands of diagonal pliers (Crescent regular and compound leverage, Greenlee, Cornwell, and a few other big box brands) and I can say that these are the best deal for the money, however the Greenlee is equally effective, but a bit more expensive. I have been using this tool for a while and it is still very sharp, the only thing I wish they had on it was a spring type mechanism like on the Crescent ones. One of my reasons for rating this tool so high is that when you cut wire with it you do not feel the snap as with the other brands(except Greenlee), the snap is not a major issue but, none the less it is nice not to have it(gets old after a while). I would recommend this to any one who needs a good cutter. Also if you use this type of tool on a daily basis, do yourself a favor and but the Journeyman handles, alot more comfortable then the dipped.
