I bought these for my husband for Father’s Day. He was very happy with my choice. They are some of the “special tools” that he has with him his his Blazer all the time.
I don’t normally associate Irwin with high quality tools, but in the case of this pliers set I was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent fit, function, and construction.
I’ve already used the pliers in a variety of applications, and will continue reach for these pliers instead of the other 10+ sets of pliers I own…including Crescents and Channelocks. Nice job Irwin!
I consider this new line of pliars to rank with the best of Germany’s premier pliar maker’s. Irwin has utilized the latest metal fabrication processes and plastic molding technologies to come up with this highly appealing, ergonomic, and functional addition to the vast world of water pump-style pliars. I’ve learned from Irwin that a 16 and 20 inch model is or will soon be available. I have told Irwin to consider a narrower jaw profile to allow more access in confined areas, but do not consider this to be a short coming in any way for the current design. The GrooveLock set provides a precision grip and a comfortable grip for your hand.
